Before the 2020 season was cut short, Brown was turning into Catawba’s ace. In 6 starts, Greg logged 31.1 innings, posting a 1.72 ERA, 2-2 record and he held opposing hitters to a .219 batting average with 32 K’s to just 10 walks.

Greg returns for his second season with the Copperheads. Brown hurled 24.2 innings last summer as a rising junior, compiling 26 strikeouts. He was great late in the season when the Copperheads were short on arms in 2019.

Greg has been successful his first two seasons under legendary Head Coach Gantt with Catawba, tossing 9.2 innings in his freshman season and 50 as a sophomore, posting a 6-1 record and a 3.42 ERA.
